Not even when condensed, believe me, I've already tried.
Banana fritters with raisins and walnuts.
Homemade minestrone. :D It was actually really easy to make.
The marble cake my mom and I made before we demolished it.
Song of the day: Neutra Face. The best parody of Pokerface I think I've ever come across.

I'm gonna watch you bleed.
Finally watched Wall-e a few..weeks ago? Possibly the cutest movie I've seen in a long time. Wall-e had such character to him, he was so well done.
George Sanders has the best voice. So classy.

This is what my holiday looked like.
We didn't have a tree this year, so I taped some string up to the fireplace and hung some ornaments on it. I thought it looked nice. Unfortunately part of it snapped off a few hours ago and one of the red ball ornaments broke. Everything else was fine, though.
For dinner we made sliced baked potatoes, veggie ham with mustard, brown sugar and pineapples, and ratatouille. Tomorrow, or I guess later today, we're making marble cake from scratch. Should be tasty.
Hope you all had a wonderful holiday and got many lovely things. My sister made me a cowl, but she said she rushed and that I should send it back so she can redo it, haha. It's great colors, though, so I'm excited.

And you're a shark's dinner.
I live right across from the rose garden. It's really pretty, and has a huge amount of different species. You aren't allowed to pick them, though, unless you're a member of the rose club, or something. I'm not really sure how they go about monitoring this, as there are no fences surrounding it, or anything. But they're lovely, and I very much enjoy smelling and photographing them.
I used this one in my etsy banner.
I dunno why, but I think this was my favorite type. The pale purple/greyish hue is just so pretty.
There are many more on my Flickr!
Song of the day: Don't Make Me Laugh- Pebble and the Penguin. Oh, Tim Curry.

Alright chipmunks, let's all buhbuhbuh.
Things on my holiday wishlist right now.
1,2,3,12: Think Geek.
4: Ashidashi.
5,6: IKEA-Children's Section.
7,14: Palmer Cash.
8,9,10,11: Sock Dreams.
13: Etsy- Lollytots.
My computer has been really acting up the past several months, even though I'd done a system's restore and it was okay for a few weeks, it's back to how bad, if not worse than, it used to be. That's one big reason as to why posts involving my photos are slow-going. However, I should have some of a bunch I've taken at the rose garden coming up soon, as well as more 365 posts. It's funny how my 365 has turned out, because by the time I've posted all of it, it'll be definitely past a year, haha. Plus, keep an eye on my etsy shop, because I'll be updating more over December and January, before I move, as well as adding a bunch of customized things with hand-sewn monsters on them!
Most of what this holiday will include will be mom and I going through her old papers and burning them. She has file cabinets full of papers she doesn't need, and it's time to move on. Especially since she wants to possibly move across country.
Hope you're having a good week.

It's not the needle, or the vial.
I can't believe it's been a week already. My finals are done this week. It's so strange how quickly this semester has gone. Been feeling kinda crummy lately, but I've been watching a bunch of Whose Line Is It Anyway? clips, and they make me feel better. So enjoy another Tuesday eats post...!
Sometimes for breakfast I just have fruit.
Saffron rice with almonds and raisins, cabbage from our garden with mushrooms, and an apple cut up.
Not that great a picture, but I made vanilla pudding and a meringue topping from scratch.
And I made a bunch of holiday cookies.
What are your holiday plans? I'm pretty much just staying at home. We're having a very lean holiday this year due to finances.
Song of the day: Hallelujah- Jeff Buckley. Personally, this is my favorite version from him.

And if it rains all day.
Which it did! We had a super intense storm yesterday and all night last night, which knocked the power out. Hurray for the rain, at least. Been a while since I've made a Tuesday eats post! These are never in any order, though. I thought I'd show some pics of the garden, too. Although they're a tad older, since we've been eating the cabbage like crazy lately.
Toast with cherry jam, honey and cinnamon.
Red peppers, black beans, cheese, grilled onions, veggie sausage and tomatoes (I actually forget what else was in it, haha) and rye bread.
Tomato, basil and red pepper soup.
Kermit has never been an outdoor cat until now, but he's really enjoying it. It's so funny to see him roll in the dirt, because he's black so there's just a little mask of black on his face, while the rest is brown. That's our tomato plant.
Chinese cabbage, broccoli and carrots. The broccoli and carrots aren't nearly ready yet, unfortunately. That's an orange tree, but it's a baby, so it won't produce any fruit for like five more years.
The house behind ours is actually turning some great fall colors.
Song of the day: Great Expectations- Elbow. Totally obsessed with this song right now. I have the album it's from, and whenever I play it, it reminds me of winter break '08, when I bought it.

Just a preview of what's been added. Many more things to come. Check it out.

How are we going to work this out?
Eating peanut butter and apples with milk is heavenly. I was working on a drawing. It's been a long time since I've actually sat down to make myself finish anything. I suppose working in the dining room is probably a better idea, because there's more light in there. Isn't my sketchbook awesome? It's made from an old book called The Unhuggables: The truth about snakes, slugs, skunks, spiders and other animals that are hard to love. And everyone looks horribly upset, including all the daisies.
If you'd like to see my art, you can visit my gallery here. I take commissions for anyone who's interested. It seems to have put them out of order, though. Deviantart goes through weird design changes all the time.
Song of the day: Every Planet We Reach Is Dead- Gorillaz.

There's a sensible explanation.
How was everyone's Thanksgiving?
I wish I could remember the artist who did this series...
I'm really enjoying the grunge revival going on.
This in response to this. It's slightly old news, but it's still amazing.

Sedona pt 2
I was so glad Sedona still had a bunch of fall leaves still up. It's getting pretty late, and we figured they'd all have given way to winter, but I suppose Arizona takes a little longer to transition. Mother and I bought some home-grown apples from Oak Creek. They were very sweet and delicious. It makes me wish I had an apple tree of my own. The concert on Friday was great, but I didn't bring my camera, because my friend said they'd likely confiscate it. It would have been too dark to get any decent pictures anyway.
