I'm a dangerous man!

banner blog
I really don't seem to draw much anymore. These last few years I've only managed to pump out a few drawings a year. It's sad. I really do enjoy drawing once I actually get the motivation to work on something. I felt like my blog needed some sprucing up, as it has had the same one for quite a while now. Less things in my "likes" show up, but it's nice and simple. Those are my two cats. Buster is on the left, Mr. T is on the right.

My job at the Y just transferred to being after school, so it's only part time. But I like it. I was so unbearably exhausted working full time at camp. Just every day, coming home and wanting to pass out. Not fun. Now I am starting to be able to bike to work and take yoga classes. I work on yoga at home, as well. It's possibly the best thing ever.

Road trip day 3: Texas + Oklahoma

Untitled
This is the only picture I have from Texas, I think. I was walking at night and saw a toad; I could only capture it with my flash, so the picture isn't the greatest.

I actually have many pictures of Oklahoma. Possibly took the most pictures there. I'm going to spread it into another post, though.

Rain is falling like rhinestones from the sky...

I went to the farmer's market on my own a little while ago. It was an adventure figuring out the bus system. Getting there wasn't an issue, it was more the coming home... I ended up on the wrong bus and went way out of the way south, then took the light rail back to town and walked several blocks to find a bus stop I needed. I'd also lost the $20 I'd brought to pay for the food and only found out right when I went to pay. :( There was a shell station right next to it so I used an ATM. Not the smoothest of days.

Right next to the market runs part of the Greenway, which is reclaimed land by the county government. They've been putting walk-ways and plants along them, because the water that runs there is prone to flooding, so they can't have houses or businesses there.

Haha, I love this sign. It has googly eyes glued to it!

I saw faces in the trees, I heard voices in the stars.

My birthday was the 8th. I'm 23 now. It's sorta frightening to think about, but I need to press forward and reach my goals. I have a set number of fitness goals for by the time I turn the big 3-0. I've gone backward a little bit, with traveling, moving and house-hunting on the agenda. We're settled in a really nice duplex apartment now, and I have floor space (right now anyway). I'm really looking forward to working out on a regular basis again. I've started getting back into it as of the last few days, and I have a lot of work ahead of me, but being able to do the things I want physically are very important to me.

As for my birthday, I received a few great things from my mom.

These super duper pretty lantern lights. And a new sports bra and running underwear. :D I'm really excited to use them. It'll be nice to not have my underwear get soaked in sweat. I also got a new bike seat for my bike. My old one is very ripped up.

Things I'm still pining after:

Photobucket
This awesome calendar by krankpress. This one is currently out of stock, for the south. They show what produce is in season to grow, and what is in season on the market. It's super cool! I love it. And there aren't any years on it, so you can use it over and over.

Photobucket
I'd really love to get into canning. I know I'd need the kit to vacuum seal the jars, too. I like this book .

  Photobucket
I really need a horn for my bike, to easily let pedestrians know I'm there. In Flagstaff, calling out wasn't enough, and this is not a bike-friendly place at all, from my observation. I really like this one.
Photobucket
In combination with a horn, a mirror has been on my list for a while. It'd make things much smoother.

One day I'd really like to paint my bike completely black, so it no longer has any labels or stickers, or scratches. It's currently a teal color.

I probably have other dinky things I want.
