I've been sleeping in a cardboard box.

So, back on the 13th, mother and I woke up early and went for breakfast at a lovely cafe that just opened up downtown called Sapna. It's in a very tiny building with a triangular room full of floor-to-ceiling windows where you can sit, and the kitchen in back. Large Indian-print tapestries were hung from the ceiling and little daisies were at each table. Me madre and I opted to sit outside, as the weather here had been surprisingly beautiful! Phoenix in June does not usually consist of cool breezes and 75 degree weather. Not so much anymore; now it's finally crawled into the 100s. After which, we visited the farmer's market, and bought a bunch of goodies. It's rather unfortunate that I forgot my camera that morning. I loved all the booths of different home-grown things. Our spoils included some makosh (A traditional Hungarian poppy seed roll, sold by a man with a heavy Bulgarian accent.), some sweet pickles, whole wheat tortillas, and dates. All of which were delicious. I sat around a while to listen to the guy playing guitar, because we met a neighbor there and offered her a ride for when she finished. Later that evening, we went to Tempe to the opening of Madcap theatres. It was an old Harkins renovated to be for live art performances. :D It's really cool! And, being that it's a community art venue, tickets will be cheap, to keep people going. The opening night was free. While there were many acts throughout the night, this gentlemen was the best. He was fantastic. I believe his name is Toby Milford...but I'll have to look it up. He played an electric violin and had a wonderful voice. I popped my head into the other acts during breaks, but decided to stay for his whole set of an hour and a half.

Then I hung outside by the fountains. There were large metal rabbit sculptures all around it.

Took this in the car on the way home.

Here's the full article on the Sydney Opera House Sails. I think it's such a fun concept.

Check it out, it's really cool! It was made in 2006, so I'm sure there have been advancements since then, but it's still a neat idea.
